The Opportunity

As a Strategic Insights Analyst, you’ll be a key player in transforming complex data, financial analysis, and business challenges into clear, compelling strategic narratives. Leveraging our in-house, world-class analytics capabilities, you’ll shape recommendations, craft impactful presentations, and support client engagements that drive real business outcomes.

Your role will involve:

  • Developing strategic insights and actionable recommendations

  • Designing and delivering high-impact presentations and visual storytelling

  • Collaborating with the Finance Analyst and Data Team to translate technical outputs into executive-ready messages

You’ll gain exposure across a multitude of industries, both in New Zealand and internationally, playing a visible role in influencing decisions at the boardroom table, in negotiations, and during critical operational planning — ensuring clarity and confidence in every decision.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate Develop clear, persuasive strategic recommendations based on inputs from data, finance, and client discussions

  • Design and deliver high-impact presentations and strategic narratives

  • Supporting client discussion, meetings, and insight discovery sessions.

  • Translate technical analysis into language that resonates with executives and frontline teams

  • Collaborate with the Finance Analyst and Data Team to ensure insights are grounded in robust analysis

  • Support the Strategy Lead in framing options, evaluate the impact of findings, and preparing for key insight delivery.

 

What We’re Looking For

Technical & Commercial Skills

·        Strong strategic thinking — able to simplify complexity and frame decisions clearly

·        Excellent storytelling and communication skills

·        Confidence in client engagement — able to build rapport and steer conversations

·        Proficiency in presentation tools (PowerPoint, Miro, etc.)

·        Solid understanding of business fundamentals (comfortable discussing ROI, commercial drivers, etc.)

·        Ability to work across disciplines to connect insights from data, finance and strategy

Soft Skills

·        Persuasive communicator who enjoys problem-solving in dynamic environments

·        Naturally curious, adaptable, and solutions-focused

·        Strong stakeholder engagement skills

Qualifications

A degree in Engineering, Economics, Strategy or Finance/Accounting preferred. Real-world experience in shaping strategic outcomes outweighs formal credentials.

 Experience

·        Ideally 3-6 years in a similar role, but we prioritise attitude, capability, and potential over years on paper

·        Background in consulting, corporate strategy, or business advisory is advantageous, but not required
